The City of Ball Ground has been awarded a Local Area Resurfacing Grant from the Georgia Department of Transportation to resurface Mound Street from Gilmer Ferry Road to Depot Street. C.W. Matthews has been awarded the contract for the project but the Notice to Proceed from the Georgia Department of Transportation has not yet been awarded. The street is scheduled to be paved in 2008.
