Movie Filming in Downtown!

This Saturday, March 9th, 2019, Fayleure Productions Inc., will be filming a scene for the movie AIRBORNE in the Ball Ground Burger Bus.

Filming will take place from approximately 11 am until 11 pm.

During this time we will be closing Mound Street between Gilmer Ferry Road and Chestnut Street. (Business owners will still have access to the parking lot off Mound Street for their employee parking). We will also be closing Church Street between Gilmer Ferry and Groover Street. The road closures will go into effect Friday afternoon and remain in effect until Sunday afternoon (setup and breakdown time). The road closures are for parking of equipment trucks, not for filming.

At this time the production company estimates they will have around 150 cast, crew and support members working in the City. They have made arrangements to rent parking lots close to town and will be using a shuttle bus and vans to bring in cast and crew as needed.

Occasionally there will be a need to close Gilmer Ferry for 2-3 minutes. But this will be the exception, not the norm.

So as you are planning your weekend, carve out some time to come downtown. Patronize our shops and restaurants………then pull up a chair and see if you can spot anyone you know with the movie crew.

See you on Saturday!!!

Have a great week.
