The City of Ball Ground will conduct qualifying for three council member seats on August 17-19, 2026, for the Nonpartisan General Municipal Election held on November 3, 2026.

 The list below are the candidates that qualified as of Day 1:

QUALIFYING FEE AND DATES SET FOR
THE CITY OF BALL GROUND
2026 MUNICIPAL ELECTION

In accordance with O.C.G.A. § 21-2-131(a)(1)(A) notice is hereby given that the qualifying fees are set at $108.00 for the mayor and $35.00 for council members. The Municipal Election will be held on November 3, 2026, to fill the following seats:

Post 1 Council Seat (Incumbent: Scott Barnes)
Post 2 Council Seat (Incumbent: Annette Homiller)
Post 3 Council Seat (Incumbent: Vicki Benefield)

Anyone desiring to run for one of these offices may qualify in the office of the City Clerk at Ball Ground City Hall located at 215 Valley Street, Ball Ground, GA 30107 beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026, and ending on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.

Specific dates and hours are as follows:
Monday 8/17/2026 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday 8/18/2026 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday 8/19/2026 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
