October, 2023 Veteran of the Month
Jonathan joined the US Marine Corps in 2011 and served until 2019. While in the Marines he was deployed to the Helmand Province of Afghanistan. He earned several medals, ribbons, and badges while serving.
September, 2023 Veteran of the Month
Carl was inducted into the United States Army on February 5th, 1965, and served until February 3rd, 1967. While in the military Carl received training to become a 91R10 – Food Inspection Specialist. During his tenure of service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and earned the Sharpshooter marksmanship badge with the M14 rifle. Carl also served two years on the Ball Ground City Council and as Volunteer Fire Chief for twelve years.
August, 2023 Veteran of the Month
John Nolan Haynes was Inducted into the US Army on January 8, 1959. Following basic training Nolan served as an Air Defense Fire System Crew Member at Ft. McPherson. During his time in the service, he achieved the rank of SP4 and was awarded the Good Conduct Metal.
July, 2023 Veteran of the Month
SGT United States Air Force. Inducted into the US Air Force in December 1963. SGT Malone received a Certificate of Honor for his service during the Vietnam War.
June, 2023 Veteran of the Month
SP4 United States Army. Inducted into the US Army in March 1966. He served as a military policeman during his time in the Army.
May, 2023 Veteran of the Month
Ryan Turnage served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from September 2006- September 2013. During his military career, he was deployed to and served 9 months at Camp Ramadi, Al Anbar Province, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
