NEW Open Container Alcohol District
A new open container alcohol district will be in effect starting January 1, 2025.
Permanent businesses located within the District that are licensed by the City to serve alcohol may apply for a permit to serve “to-go” alcohol. Customers of these permitted establishments will be allowed to carry and consume open container alcoholic beverages within the district. Beverages must be in an approved cup obtained from the establishment and the permitted times are Friday’s from 4PM to 9PM and Saturday’s from 12PM to 9PM.

Impact Fee Public Hearings
Notice is hereby given that two public hearings will be held before the Ball Ground City Council at City Hall, 215 Valley Street, Ball Ground, Georgia during a special called meeting of the City Council on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 5:00 PM and during the regular meeting of the City Council on July 11, 2024 at 6:00 PM. These public hearings are for the purpose of adopting an ordinance for the establishment of an impact fee program.

Curbside recycling service is not available to City customers at this time. Other recycling options are available.
